Shortly a week after one of Vila Verde’s great events, we’ll tell you more about the ICF Canoe Marathon World Championship in Prado.
Smiles, concentration and loads of sports! These are just three of the many adjectives we can use to summarize the ICF Canoe Marathon World Championship in Prado.
Rumo Norte – Tours e Viagens (Pathway North – Tours & Travel), together with Vila Verde’s Tourism Office, the municipality to which Vila de Prado belongs to, have joint effots in the promotion of local tourism and the the advantages of visiting the Minho region. Daniel Marques, co-founder of Rumo Norte, worked alongside Carla Mota from the Vila Verde’s Tourism Office.
Carla, who’s in love with the town, was the best fit to help us promote Vila Verde and Rumo Norte as a specialized travel agency in holidays and short stays in the Minho and Northern regions of Portugal.
River Cávado, the perfect scenario to athlets and fans, is one the best rivers in the area to practice canoeing. All participants of the ICF Canoe Marathon World Championship in Prado had the opportunity to participate while admiring the beautiful landscapes around them. That, however, didn’t stop them to pursue their main goal: to win! If you’ve missed the championship, you can check the results here.
Rumo Norte was present between September 3 and 9 and had the chance to speak with athlets and fans from over 20 different countries.
It was a week where our office was outside and where the primary languages were English, German, French and Spanish. A week in which Vila Verde, Braga, Guimarães and surrounding cities and town areas where the perfect excuse for a quick tour and getaway.
Our dearest compliments and cheers to all the athlets who have visited Vila de Prado and the Minho region. For those who didn’t have the chance to see more about this beautiful town and its stunning landscape along the river, we leave you a short 2 minute video from Nuno Mendes.
